This dataset includes current and real (constant 1982-1984 dollars) earnings for all employees on private nonfarm payrolls and earnings for production and nonsupervisory employees on private nonfarm payrolls, both seasonally adjusted. The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) is used to adjust the earnings series for inflation. For "All Employees," the CPI in the source is called the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers, and for "Production and Nonsupervisory Employees," it is called the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers. This dataset corresponds to the information presented in Tables A-1 and A-2 of the Real Earnings Summary.
