This dataset includes the monthly index of the Mexican Stock Exchange disaggregated by sector. The Mexican Stock Market Index (Indice de Precios y Cotizaciones, or IPC) is an indicator of the overall performance of the Mexican Stock Exchange. As a result of the new sector classification by the Mexican Stock Exchange, the publication of information corresponding to the previous classification stopped in April 2009. Sector Indexes include the new methodology.
