Alphacast High Frequency CPI: Inflation was 0.66% WoW

Weekly inflation remained stable. Consumer prices increased 0.66% WoW, marginally above the prior week’s revised 0.64%. In monthly terms, inflation accelerated to 2.4% MoM. In addition, the annual rate held at 30% YoY.

During the reference week, core and seasonal components accelerated WoW, while regulated prices eased. Core inflation came in at 0.93% WoW, above the revised 0.66% recorded the week before. On a monthly basis, core inflation strengthened to 2.9% MoM. Seasonal items increased 0.65% WoW, above the prior week’s revised 0.48%, while their monthly pace rose to 2.2% MoM. Regulated prices declined sharply to 0.14% WoW, below the revised 0.67% previously observed, and their monthly pace eased to 1.5% MoM.
